Twin Falls August

Great week.  The end of last week, Haley and Spencer surprisingly came into town and visited me.  We stopped by the temple and the falls and had a grand old time chatting.

I made some nike booties for Jason and Emily Kim.  Jason went to BYU with me.  We worked together in the same vitamin lab and were in grad school together.

Friday night I went on a spontaneous fishing trip with my redneck group of friends.  They are REALLY redneck.  When I asked them where we were going, they replied, "Oh ya know, were goin way past BFE for this trip..."  It really was.  This reservoir was in the middle of no where.
The can of  22 bullets for some casual squirrel shooting

I don't have a fishing license, so we stopped at this gas station in rogersville (aka trailer-ville) to buy one.  I left my phone in the car, and when we walked in, I asked Zane, "you locked the car, right?" He responded with "What? Of course not."  I kept an eye on my phone while trying to buy a license.  My information was not coming up in the system, so the lady said, "Well hel* girl, I haven't bought a fishing license for 35 years and have never gotten caught.  Where you're going, no one is going to check either.  Just go fish."  So I obeyed.
The fishing was awful, but the lake was beautiful.

I love the coloring on this picture

Typical site I see when running down the road.

I bought a new hat and it finally came in the mail.  These will come in handy during my Seattle vacation next month

Yesterday I went swimming at Vineyard lake.  It was a refreshing way to cool off in the 100 degree weather.

I also got to skype with Mom and Dad today -- they are going crazier by the minute, haha!

That's all from twin falls.  Have a great week!

September 10th -- A busy and fun week for sure.

Made garlic cheese-stuffed rolls on Sunday with some to save

Turned out ridiculously good

That's not bacteria... it's herbs :)

Labor day was super fun!  I took a hike with Katie Jones, her sister Melina, and Melina's husband Rhett.  There were some definite mental breakdowns during the hike as we took the wrong trail and had to bushwack.  I loved the Adventure!  Katie and I were the only ones to make it to the top.  Melina thought she was going to die so I gave her my water and filled up my water bottle with snow that I thought looked clean.  I had the most regular bowels for 72 hours straight... I thought I was going to die after that!  Thank goodness our bodies clean themselves out because I feel great now!!!

My mileage since I had my phone in my back pocket the entire time.
As far as school goes, I teach a lab for 3 hours a week and am working on my research.  It's pretty chill and leaves lots of time for free time and play.  Last week I went to the temple, gave plasma twice, played Wallyball, played on Drew's softball team, and helped out for Nolie's baptism.
I found my twin at Walmart!  Obviously we're fraternal

Pasteurizing egg yolks and sugar.  We were working on a homogenizer in the pilot plant and it was super wet, hence the rubbers :)

Brent and Maddy had us over for dinner on Friday.  They're so cute!!!
Nolie got baptized!!  She is a sweet girl.  The stake primary president told a little bit about the 3 baptizees.  Apparently, Nolie wants to be a comedian.  Lovely service, and Drew gave a great confirmation blessing.

Nolie even got secret service to help her out at her baptism

Game day.  I showed up at 2pm and we waited outside the stadium for 5 hours.  Luckily we all had a fun time playing Scum.  I love all the political and economic jokes you can make with that game :)
The beginning of the game was the best part, and the whole game was patriotic themed, even up to the halftime presentation.  It was pretty awesome.  Too bad Tanner Mangum STINKS!!!

BYU aka, the mormon homeless/natural disaster shelter

We got great seats but that's because someone spent the night in line for us

flag was literally 100 yards and covered the entire football field.
