Fun times

It's great to be back in Provo Utah.  I enjoy going to the temple every week too.  This is an awesome picture taken by Sam's friend Sarah Crooks.

Josh and I took a bike ride last Saturday before going camping.  It was a beautiful picture of the valley.

We spend the weekend in the middle of Utah forewheeling with Josh's family.  Tons of fun and great views.

We woke up at 1:30 in the morning to climb mount Timp with Josh, Kierra Clark (my favorite mission compantion), and her husband Sebastion.  It was a good 11 hour investment, but I had to do it before I or Josh graduated.  It was so fun to see Sister Clark again.  Tons of Mountain goats as well!!

I got my portrait taken for BYU grad school.  I chose the least worse of all the bads, but it's good enough for a new linked in profile pic.

The Gardens at Thanksgiving Point
August 30, 2016

Josh and I had a really fun date on Tuesday this week.  Thanksgiving point has these gardens that are absolutely beautiful, and if anyone knows how much I like flowers, I was in heaven.  Normally, the cost is $15 per person, but they do $2 Tuesday every Tuesday in August.  We made the last one.  Josh is so smart with his money, and we have a $50 date and eat out limit for each month.  We choose our outings carefully, and look for good deals :)

Largest artificial waterfall in North America.  That may be a completely made up fact, but there's something big about this waterfall.

These fish were crazy!!! They completely attacked whenever food was dropped in.

What a beautiful night.  If anyone is around in August, I would recommend a trip to the gardens :)  Have a beautiful week!

NEW MEXICO -- Returning back to Provo

We had an awesome time visiting the New Mexico Hiatts and Katy.

We had an awesome hike up to Sandia peak.  We decided that rent might be cheaper for Sam and Shane if they live in this nice, sturdy rock house.

A restaurant sat at the top of the peak, and we enjoyed a good lunch together.

A tram also comes up to this restaurant.

I love hiking with friends and family!

Directly following the hike, we went to a junk museum.  A man showed off his 30 year accumulation of junk.  It was quite fantastic to see.  In a land of junk, you can be yourself... and for me, that was a pink cowgirl :)

The next day we went on a hike to see the Indian petroglyphs.  Vince was so excited to see every rock, and Josh was super nice to stay back with Vince the entire time.

After the hike, we went to an awesome park!!! It was better than Disneyland, and it was free!  I don't know if the kids had more fun, or if us adults had more fun together :)

That evening, Josh was able to experience more of a Hiatt vacation as he hung out with the girls and as we worked.  We made over 15 pounds of applesauce for a ward function -- Sam is such a good yes-woman :)  It was quite fun and delicious.  Josh made his famous brownies, and we all pitched in to make a good stir fry dinner.  The climax edible for the week, as testified by myself and Josh, was the coconut and pineapple tres leches.

That night, Sam and Shane got us all tickets to the Isotopes game.  The first baseball game that I have ever attended will be remembered.  The climax was when two outfielders collided upon severe miscommunication.  Kind of funny.

I thought Cindy's hair looked really cool with the static, but this picture looks like I'm torturing her.  Don't worry, no babies were harmed during the taking of this picture.

Our last goodbye as Wells.  We had some delicious New Mexican food, and Josh and Katy loved their dishes.  We were sad to leave the place, but we loved stopping by the Monticello temple to do a session on our way back home.

Thanks for the awesome trip, Sam and Shane!  You guys are the best!!!
